BEEF BOURGUIGNONNE

INGREDIENTS
4 slices bacon, chopped
1-1/2 lbs. boneless beef chuck or round steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
3 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
4 carrots, sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 cup water
1/2 cup dry red wine
1 can (14-1/2 oz.) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained and chopped
1 package Knorr ® Goulash (Beef Stew) recipe mix
PREPARATION

Preheat oven to 375° F. Cook bacon in a large deep-sided skillet over medium heat until crisp. Meanwhile, season beef with salt and pepper and toss in flour until evenly coated. Remove bacon from pan and set aside. Increase heat to medium-high, add beef and brown, stirring occasionally. Remove and arrange beef, carrots and mushrooms in a 2-quart casserole.

Pour water and wine into skillet and stir, scraping up brown bits from the bottom of the pan. Stir in tomatoes and Knorr ® Goulash (Beef Stew) recipe mix until combined. Bring to a boil, then pour over the beef and vegetables, stirring to coat well. Cover and bake for about 1-1/2 hours or until beef is tender. Garnish with bacon and sour cream.
