PASTA WITH TOMATO-VODKA SAUCE

INGREDIENTS
2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
2 tsp. finely chopped garlic
1/4 cup vodka
1 can (14.5 oz.) whole peeled tomatoes, undrained and coarsely chopped
1 Tbsp. chopped fresh basil leaves*
1 cup water
1 package Knorr® Pasta Sides™ - Alfredo
Ground black pepper to taste
PREPARATION

Heat oil in 12-inch skillet over medium heat and cook garlic 30 seconds. Add vodka and boil 30 seconds. Add tomatoes and basil and cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes or until slightly thickened. Add water and bring to a boil. Stir in Knorr® Pasta Sides™ - Alfredo and continue boiling over medium heat, stirring frequently, 7 minutes or until pasta is tender; stir in pepper.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Microwave oil with garlic in 1-1/2-quart microwave-safe round casserole, uncovered, at HIGH 30 seconds. Add vodka and microwave 1 minute. Add tomatoes, basil and water and microwave 6 minutes or until boiling. Stir in Knorr® Pasta Sides™ - Alfredo and microwave 6 minutes or until pasta is tender; stir in pepper. Let stand covered 5 minutes.


*SUBSTITUTION: Use 1 tsp. dried basil leaves.
